My career as an artist began with the study of life drawing and black and white photography at the Boston Museum School.
I moved to Montreal and I found myself without a darkroom, so I began experimenting with watercolours and later with oils. A self-taught painter, the world of colour opened itself up to me and I developed a technique that suited my highly realistic still-lifes, landscapes and portraits.
MY purpose is to stop and study what to other people is simply visual information to be quickly processed and then forgotten in their urgency to get somewhere else.
My work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in Canada and the United States, and is included in public collections such as the Cleveland Museum of Art, Gaz Métropolitan, AT&T Boston, Claridge Investments, the First National Bank of Boston and Taiming International (Shunde, China). They are also in private collections in Canada, Singapore, Switzerland and the US.
