As long as I can remember I've had a strong emotional connection with color and form. Since I was a toddler, my mother encouraged me to creatively express myself with no particular goal in mind. I began with the basics: pencil, paper and finger paint! Thankfully over the years my stick figures and splotchy messes eventually evolved into various art forms including illustration, photography, sculpture and painting.
Recently I began using abstract painting as a form of therapy to find a balance in what seems to be an ever growing chaotic world. There is something I find to be so relaxing about being present in the moment. A state of Being that I refer to as my Zen Flow. Here is where I find peace - observing the movement of paint, flowing freely across a blank canvas with the subtle assistance of gravity.
After many hours of practice and about 100 canvases later I felt I had finally developed a technique that was worthy of bringing to life in various forms for others to enjoy. Zen Flow Creations was finally born, bringing original acrylic paintings to life! My practice evolved into creating clothing and accessories with a goal of displaying a modern, free spirited, urban vibe.
I am returning to school in pursuit of continuing my education in the field of psychology. My goal is to use art to support myself financially (and therapeutically) to one day follow my core purpose in life of helping those in need. Who knows, maybe one day I can emulate the roles my teachers played in my life and help people heal through creative expression!
Thank you for supporting me through my journey!
