Renee Renee Ruffin was inspired to become an artist at a young age by her beloved father Conrad Nunnally, formerly a graphic/freelance artist for the City of New York. Renee earned a Bachelors of Art Education from Virginia State University and a Masters of Arts in Education from Central Michigan University. Insisting she was born a teacher, Renee is a retired public school art teacher with thirty years of experience. Her art work reflects a strong emphasis in emotions, portrayed in a variety of subject matter, styles and media. Always teaching she explains,” Hopeful, I aspire to evoke a sense of caring and heightened consciousness in others through my art.” Her work can be found in collections throughout the United States and has been featured in such publications as the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, The Buckhead Weekly, Artists of Georgia Magazine, the Atlanta Tribune, The Amityville Chronicle as well as numerous group, and solo shows nationally.
