Christina is a visual artist in Canada. She was employed as a graphic artist before becoming a full time painter. She enjoys capturing an expressive face, and has created many artworks of musicians, movie icons, ordinary people and animals. She is hired often for commissioned work. Working mostly in oil, usually on large canvases, she also enjoys using mixed media, acrylic, pastel, ink and textured papers. She has a wide range of subject matter and technique. Being able to turn her art in to fashion has been very exciting. Christina owns and operates C.J. Clare Artworks and her work appears in many private and public collections.

Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction that incorporates retrofuturistic technology and aesthetics inspired by, but not limited to, 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Steampunk works are often set in an alternative history of the Victorian era or the American frontier, where steam power remains in mainstream use, or in a fantasy world that similarly employs steam power. It’s become very popular in fashion & design. I am creating my own steampunked themed designs.
