Ambrose is a lifelong multi media artist focusing mostly on portraits for thirty years and now on wildlife and landscapes. Her various artworks have sold internationally.

Some of her pieces can be seen in video ISBN 0-89524-833-6 and in the 1987 movie Foxfire with Tandy & Denver. Other pieces reside in personal collections of Graham Nash, Daniel Peek, and John Denver, even as commissioned. She had her first commission at eighteen. She is the author of one book and has produced two artistic music albums of her own that have received international awards.
