I'm constantly inspired by the rich profusion of colorful tropical plants here in southwest Florida. I begin by painting directly on silk with water based dyes and gutta. Most of my paintings are 3’ x 6’, the size of a shawl. I sell the originals, but I also love to take lots of close-up photos that emphasize the abstract qualities of a piece, and sometimes abstract them further by using an app like Brushstroke.
