Christopher (Kit) was originally trained in Oils and Acrylics at Northwestern University, but 'switched' exclusively to Oriental Inks in 1999 while living and studying in China and Singapore. At the suggestion of his Framer, he initiated study with Master Nai Swee Leng. Kit's art is best described as Representational 'En plein Air', a blend of free-expressionistic post-modernism not following a ‘predetermined look, but retaining discernible figure-ground relationships and recognizable patterns, portraiture, and scene. His adaptations of Master Nai’s training is a blend of oriental free-expression using both black and colored mineral-based Asian inks. Christopher uses Western overtones in execution and use of color.
Kit also practices Medicine, as an MD Forensic Neurologist.
