''DONT THINK ABOUT MAKING ART. JUST GET IT DONE, LET EVERYONE ELSE DECIDE IF IT'S GOOD OR BAD. WHETHER THEY LOVE IT OR HATE IT. WHILE THEY ARE DECIDING, MAKE MORE ART.''

Born in Lagos Nigeria in 1955, I belong to an exceptional but older generation of Nigerian sculptors who have firmly inculcated the practice of employing unconventional techniques and media including recycled and found materials in their interrogation of the larger society.
My preferred media are wood and metal, however, in the last decade or so, I have increasingly explored new directions and possibilities while taking advantage of industrial power tools in the execution of my art.
My first solo appearance was in 1989, thereafter, I have had seventeen major solo exhibitions at home and aboard, the most recent was 'Realm of Freedom', March through April of 2017 at Omenka Gallery in Ikoyi, Lagos Nigeria. My works have featured in more than thirty five group exhibitions in Nigeria, USA, UK and France; in November of 2018, my work featured at the 'November Exhibition' at Segar|Braudis Gallery in Columbia Missouri, similarly, I also featured in 2019 and 2020 Small Works Shows at the same gallery.
I also had the privilege of showing at the July 2019 juried Group Exhibition at Archway Gallery in Houston TX.
My works are in private collections in Nigeria, USA and Europe.
I have taught art at college levels in the School of Art, Design and Printing, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba Lagos-Nigeria from 1986 to 2014, I was a graduate instructor [of records] in the Fine Art Department of the University of Missouri, Columbia Missouri, USA from 2000 to 2002 and was a visiting Assistant Professor in the same University in 2003.
From 2006 through 2016, I conducted regular creative workshops at Villagecreativestudio southwest of Lagos, Nigeria.
My working relationships in direct contact with people in over 3 decades has been an asset I take with me wherever I go, the experience and quality of which I share with other contacts I interact with in my journey through revealing creative life.
A recipient of College Merit Award for Excellence, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba Lagos-Nigeria, 1998,Donald Barlett Memorial Scholarship in the Fine Art Department of the University of Missouri, Columbia Missouri, USA, 2001; I also won the 1st Prize in Sculpture in the same year at the 42nd Annual Boone County Art show organized by Boone County National Bank and Distinguished Art Scholar, Society of Nigerian Artists,
Lagos State Chapter Nigeria in 2014.
