A few years ago, while on vacation, I wandered into a gallery that specialized in social painting events. The gallery was not busy and the owner was eager to show off her gallery. I shared with her that I wish I could paint and admired those that could do so. She offered me a two hour lesson for a reasonable price. That lesson stretched into a six hour marathon as we connected and painted together. It was the first time I ever picked up a brush. I was totally captivated. That little acrylic painting is proudly framed and on display in my home. I still love painting with acrylic paints.
I continue to be fascinated as I watch my art evolve. I never know when I enter my studio if a primitive floral still-life, expressionistic landscape/seascape, or layered abstract will be born on my canvas.
All of my paintings are inspired by music. Eclectic in my choices, from the Beatles to Vivaldi, emotion and energy flow onto the canvas as I feel the music. I experience a profound and deep spiritual connection to the Creator and liken my painting as an act of prayer. Painting provokes me with a sense of wonder
