My best friend’s husband was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. There were times he wished he could simply run from the fight. That need to escape – the human desire to be free from the fight led me to develop my series, Fight or Flight. I wanted to visualize the place where we all want to go when we have chosen to fight, but our souls need time to rest and grow strong again…a place to which we all take flight.

Have you ever been mezmerized, sitting on the beach, watching the wave come in? I know I have...to feel the incredible power of wind and waves is beyond exciting to me!  

The Luna Moth ascends upwards to take you to the place where you will find peace in your inner soul, helping you to heal yourself from the inside out. So much of healing takes place in the mind. 

For thousands of years, Bluebirds have been symbols of happiness, prosperity, home & hearth, health, new births and the renewal of Springtime.

In creating this painting, I discovered a window into the complexities and beauty of my own soul...my young soul. This painting speaks to the very core of me.

Hummingbirds symbolize beauty, happiness, harmony, and joy. They can move their wings in a figure eight pattern, a symbol for infinity.
