Theresa M Brockmeyer (formerly Theresa M Heinz) has held a computer programming career position, worked as a special investigator for medical fraud and as a correctional officer, and is now a mental health practitioner in Sidney, Iowa. Theresa has another side of her, which is creative, which includes art and photography. She has photos published in books and on the Smithsonian’s website, as well as pictures in the Chicago Tribune. She is a local and National member of the American Counseling Association and of the American Mental Health Counselors Association. She worked at a correctional facility while finishing her counseling degree. Her goal is to rehabilitate inmates so that they can have a normal functioning life when they are released so that they do not return to a life of crime.
She has an associate's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Criminal Justice. She has earned a Master's in Cyber Security and Mental Health Counseling and working on her PhD.
